I like to keep introductions short (my name is already long enough!).
I’m Valentina and I try to live my life to the fullest. When I immerse myself in an experience, I then want to share it with others. That’s who I am.
I love traveling, taking photos and writing. Without any pause and without limitations. I believe that any day is the perfect day for painting the canvas of my life. One brush stroke after the other, I make my own destiny.
What do I do?
I’m a Journalist, a social media Manager and a Blogger.
I have always loved writing and just before I turned 18, in 2006, I made my online debut with a diary on MySpace. I then decided to move on and start my own blog, something that would be entirely mine. In 2010, my very first blog was born. It was called Giornalista Coccinella (Ladybug Journalist), a nickname that had a personal meaning long before I started sharing my stories online. Both my first fan page (2010) and YouTube channel (2013) used that same name.
Nowadays, my blog bears my name and is a true reflection of all my greatest passions.
What I write about ?
On this blog, I share my own experiences as I travel the world. I hope that my words will transport the readers to the places I visit and, above all, inspire them.
In addition to writing about travel, I like to write about web marketing and about my work as a blogger.
I am also a regular speaker at industry events, like the IT.A.CÀ Rovigo – Festival del Turismo Responsabile, where I gave the speech “Travel bloggers and sustainability: when work meets passion”.
My blogging experience
This blog’s case history can be found under ‘Collaborations’. Looking back, I can recount how I developed this travel bug, it was during a blog tour in Malaga (Spain). That’s when I knew this is what I wanted to pursue.
Education and studies
After I graduated from university with an Arts & Humanities Degree, I became a journalist. My education, however, didn’t end there. I attended several marketing courses and then completed a Master’s degree in journalism and communication.
Here’s a report by a well-known blogger comparison network (updated June 2018):
For me, engagement and the satisfaction of those who read this blog are more important than numbers. That’s why I collected some of my readers’ comments on a dedicated page.
