The most beautiful boutique hotel in the world: “The Luxe Manor” in Hong Kong

Come along and enter a world of elegance & charm: The Luxe Manor. This is probably the most beautiful boutique hotel I’ve ever seen in my life.

WHERE IS THE THE LUXE MANOR BOUTIQUE HOTEL LOCATED?

“Yes, it is beautiful but … where is it?”

It is a bit far from Italy but if you’re thinking of traveling to Hong Kong, I suggest you read this article and consider staying here on your trip.

The hotel is opposite Hong Kong Island and, more precisely, in Kowloon. This is an area is known for its vibrant nightlife and its name stems from the term Nine Dragons, alluding to eight mountains and a Chinese emperor.

In Kowloon, there’s something for every taste, from local fare to international cuisine, high-end neighborhoods and quieter ones, shopping malls and sports centers (skate parks and cycling lanes).

To get a better idea of where Kowloon and The Luxe Manor are located, you can check the map below:

WHAT DOES ‘BOUTIQUE HOTEL’ MEAN?

‘Boutique hotel’ is a term coined in the United States to indicate small luxury hotels (which can range from 11 to 100 rooms, no more) with a unique style. Usually, they distinguish themselves from the big hotel chains because they provide a highly personalized service.

Because of their uniqueness, they are often called “design hotel” or “lifestyle hotel” and are often inspired by a particular theme or decor.

What’s more important is that they’re independent hotels, not part of any chains. The experience, therefore, is often one-of-a-kind and unrepeatable. This is exactly the case with “The Luxe Manor”.

DISCOVERING THE “THE LUXE MANOR”

Staying in a city that never sleeps, like Hong Kong, is wonderful. There’s always something to do and anything that your hearts desires can be found here. It is understandable, however, that after all this excitement, all you want at the end of the day is tranquility and comfort.

This is exactly how I felt after I spent the entire day on the wonderful Island of Lantau (if you want to know more, read my article “One Morning on the Island of Lantau, the Great Buddha). Coming back to a cozy and welcoming hotel, after a day in the scorching heat, was absolute bliss.

There are 3 words that come to mind when I think of the effort that goes into anything the staff does: attention to detail, comfort and friendliness.

As soon as you step into the hotel, it’s a different world, nothing like the urban jungle you leave behind. A wonderful lobby, with a large wall of mirrors, a mosaic on the floor on the theme of time and the large red door, which opens onto the street.

Thanks to Vivian, the hotel’s marketing assistant, I had the opportunity to visit the hotel’s top-floor suites. I even got an upgrade from a Superior Room to the “Mirage” suite. It was love at first sight!

Let’s talk about my suite then! Throughout the 3 days I stayed here I inspected it thoroughly.

Mirage. Yes, that’s exactly what you see as soon as you enter the room. A mix of fantasy, madness and genius. Each piece of furniture was a prompt to the imagination.

My bedroom was small yet perfect in every detail: 4 door handles, brightly colored fabrics, hypnotic patterns (the cushions had illustrations by the Italian artist Piero Fornasetti) and a closet whose theme was “illusion versus reality”.

Two unfussy bathrooms, but elegant in every aspect, right down to the finishing touches. And then the most beautiful area, in my opinion, the living room. Here, a large desk climbing on the wall, a quirky lamp, a TV hidden behind a picture were joined by curtains that resembled a full head of hair.

THE “LUXE MANOR” SUITES

Let me show you now the other suites at this boutique hotel. There are 6 suites in total but I couldn’t visit all of them as some were occupied.

ROYALE: extremely luxurious, elegant and refined in every detail.

CHIC: delicate, classy and suitable for young customers.

SAFARI: evocative, surreal and … icy despite the decor!
